Doghouse Studios

Doghouse Studios is a family-owned event space in beautiful Napanee, Ontario!  We purchased Doghouse in 2013 with a vague idea of turning this sturdy old industrial building into a wedding venue, an arts hub, and a cultural gathering point. We've hosted 100s of weddings, concerts, church services, craft fairs, workshops, and so much more.

The name reflects the building's history as a major employer in the early 1900s. Incorporated on 10-08-1925 and in operation until 1978, the Ross-Miller Biscuit Company, headed by George Miller, "was a pioneer in the manufacture of food for fur-bearing animals."

After the plant closed, the building was purchased by the Gibbard Furniture Company for use as a warehouse. Gibbard employees affectionately nicknamed it "the Doghouse" as short-hand for distinguishing among the company's various buildings.

Our capacity for a seated event is about 150, or closer to 200 if tables aren't being used. There is plenty of free parking on site (please don't park on our neighbours properties or you could be towed!) in front, to the side, and to the back of the building. We have a full commercial kitchen that is perfect for any sort of meal service. Our sister company Little River Vintage Rentals & Event Design is available to help with every little detail of your big day.

Whether it's a wedding, concert, craft show, or meeting, we would be honoured to be a part of your occasion. If it's important to you, it's important to us!
